Enviroment & Highways Committee
This committee seeks to address the proplems and maintenance of the enviroment and highways. That sounds really simple but in practice encompases predicted annual maintenance to footpaths, open spaces,allotments, cemetry, youth club hall, carparks, reacreation grounds and hedges and ditches. It also means crisis management to many of these items, especially when we experience gales or heavy rainfall. So far the committee manages to keep abreast of most of the problems but from time to time the phone calls from parts of our village that we do not often visit, are a great help. This committee is concerned with the visual well being of our village, and tried to keep it clean and tidy. Campaigns such as Village in Bloom and Keep Purbeck Tidy, go a long way to enhance Lytchett Matravers and keep it a place where people love to live.
